We attempted Mt. Rainier in June 1998 by way of the traditional route. Steve and Garrett along with Cliff, T.J. and Brandon Brooks, Jim, Matt and Nick Gardner and Tim Bauer made up the climbing party. We planned a 3 day climb. The first day we climbed to Camp Muir at 10,000 feet. We rested a day and then we left at 10:30 PM of day 2 in order to attempt to summit and get back down quickly due to impending bad weather. We made it to the top of "the Cleaver" (12,800), but, unfortunately, the weather came in, and we had to hurry back down the mountain. Some highlights are shown below. 14,400 ft Mt.
