Mt. Hood

We tried a winter climb of Mt. Hood (11,238') in February 1997.  We climbed to the Palmer Hut area at 8600' and set up camp.  Unfortunately, a blizzard came in and dumped a couple feet of snow.  The Brooks boys had to leave their tent and sleep in the other tents because their tent was getting buried faster than they could keep the snow off.  Cliff and Brandon came in our tent and TJ went to Jim and Lisa's tent.  We had to dig the next morning and head back down the mountain.
